house of shattered dreams.
as if ashamed of it's derilict condition and deserted grounds, the house stood silently up on a hill lurking behind some odd trees. and silly us, driving in a hurry, nearly missed it. abandoned and lonely, unwilling to tell anything of it's days of glory and all of it's stories of happier times promtly locked in and tucked away in the misty cellars. long ago shattered windows flickering quietly in the soft summer breeze, once beautiful and inviting doors so battered and fragile that they looked to stay shut with nothing but sheer will power to keep any unwanted visitors at a distance. i sincerely hope that rather sooner than later some beautiful soul would come along and wash away the moss and grime, neatly put the windows up, open the stiff doors and fill the majestic house once again with light and love.
